  • Is The Future of Cleaning Going Robot?

THE BENEFITS OF ROBOTIC CLEANING Undeniably, when most of us look into the future, we see robots doing many things. Believe it or not, some of that futuristic robotic cleaning may be closer than we think. It may sound like if we switch gears to autonomous vacuums and scrubbers that janitorial and maintenance jobs might be on the outs, but that’s not true. By using robots for some tasks, it allows staff time to focus on other tasks that may be higher priority. You may be thinking, well, where do I begin? Increased Prolificacy With these robots, you don’t have to worry about missing a spot or two, you will have a perfect cleaning route every time. These robots clean scale areas without supervision and the technology in them allows for constant learning and improvement within their performance. This frees up some time for maintenance and janitorial supervisors because now the responsibility of sanitorial supervision is eliminated. Peace of Mind The machine has a Smart Detection System which makes it possible for over 80 billion square feet to be safely cleaned. This includes being able to safely avoid people and obstacles that may be in the way. It also keeps a safe distance from walls and objects while still maintaining a perfect clean. Controls Made Simple To feel more in control, this machine has controls which allow you to monitor all functions in manual or autonomous modes. It’s one button to operate all cleaning functions. When in manual mode, you can adjust all modes to better suit your individual needs. Safety When in autonomous function, the key can be removed by authorized personnel. This makes it so the easy-to-see indicators and lights are operated properly. Technology The technology within this machine is called the Cloud Connected LCD Interface. This allows the functions to change from autonomous to manual and back with one touch. With your smartphone, you can teach the robot many different routes simultaneously and then save them for future use. A Leap Into The Future! Don’t want to be tied into a long-term service contract and more so want to try out this machine to see how it will benefit your needs? Look no further than Kärcher’s autonomous rental program. Plans are available in 3, 6, or 12 month increments. Delivery, training, service and consumables are all included in the rental. Happy roboting!

  • THE BENEFITS OF THE MODERN CHANGE IN THE CLEANING CART DESIGN

Although it may seem as though there may be a more beneficial design to the traditional and common three-shelf storage cleaning cart, have you ever thought about just personalizing and organizing it so that it directly targets your company's cleaning needs? It may seem confusing how three shelves on wheels can fit all of your cleaning equipment and chemicals, but sometimes it just takes a little “readjusting.” Evolvement These carts started as metal units with three shelves and have since become multifunctional models that hold much more. The purpose of the everlasting transformation is so companies and facilities have more options when completing maintenance and sanitary tasks.  These carts have numerous platform areas to hold mops and vacuums with hooks, as well as caution signs, too. There is a specific place for trash and recycling. Since this cart now needed to hold more items, the base of the cart was then created to maintain stability. Some are even accommodating a microfiber charging bucket for flat mops. Some carts have removable drawers and caddies, making it safer for custodias to transport and organize chemicals. What caused the change? When visiting companies and buildings that utilized these cleaning carts, it was common to see a pile of them stacked up in a closet or a hallway. These were the ones that were broken and if they're not crucial to the functionality of the maintenance crew, why bother fixing them? The newer convertible design allowed for the company to personalize the cart so that it would be crucial to the maintenance and cleanliness of the building. This included moveable walls and modules which allowed constant change or configuration. Now, these carts are key in the cleanliness of a building. Why choose the modern design? The nice part about a personalizable cleaning cart is that if you need to use it for something else besides your sanitary and maintenance needs, you can easily make that happen. From the ground up, you can transform the cart to make it just right for its job.

  • Harmony in Hygiene: Tips on Achieving Work-Life Balance

Why Is a Work-Life Balance So Important? The definition: What exactly is a “work-life balance” many may ask? A work-life balance is when you adjust your time and mental measure on work AND life outside of work. In simpler terms, this means that you are able to complete all necessary assignments and duties in a timely manner for work related things, while also having the time and energy to do those things you enjoy at home with family and friends, too. There are many benefits to having this balance, but most importantly, it allows you to have continued motivation at work and be able to genuinely enjoy your time outside of work, while being fully present in the moment. How do you create a work-life balance? A work-life balance is not categorized under “one size fits all.” In sustaining a proper work-life balance you have to give it constant attention and create a schedule that works best for you.Even if you feel like sometimes work is getting most of your attention and at other times your home life is, prioritizing both and finding that steady middle ground is the goal. Put away your work when it’s time to do so With the advanced technology that we have access to today, it’shard to end the workday when that imaginary buzzer goes off. However, you need to set boundaries with coworkers and know when it is time to turn off your notifications and email once the business hours are over. Make sure you have a plan for emergency situations. Limit wasteful time While taking breaks is crucial in keeping your focus during a long and busy workday, make sure you are focusing on the important tasks, so you can get them completed by the due date. Identify tasks in order of priority and limit anything that may make you procrastinate. Communicate with your employer and your family & friends Make sure you feel comfortable with the communication you have with your employer. If you ever feel burnt out, let them know. It is just as important that you are achieving the goals in your personal life as it is in your work life and if you are burnt out, it’s hard to meet either of those goals. Constantly update and revisit your schedule Keeping a work-life balance requires constant change and shift within your work and home life schedule. Make sure you are constantly checking on your schedules to make sure you are altering anything that may need tweaking to sustain that perfect balance. Control the stress using beneficial techniques Exercise, meditation and personal hobbies are all great ways to relieve stress. If you are feeling overwhelmed by your workload, make sure that during the time you reserve for your personal life, you are doing something to control your stress. What are the benefits? - Higher productivity - Longer stay at a company - Higher level work - Better results - Healthier relationships - Personal growth - The ability to be more present - Less stress - Continuously improving physical and mental health Here's to a happy and succesful 2024 from NESSA!

Having expensive and pivotal equipment for your company is the first step, but for the equipment to execute top-notch work, you need a plan on how you will best take care of it. With regular repair maintenance set in place, you will notice in the long run that it is saving your company time, money and hassle. On top of worker productivity, It extends equipment life and lowers overall repair costs – as long as you have the parts and knowledge to repair it.
