On June 12, 2024, NESSA hosted the annual Golf Outing sponsored by CALLICO. The event brought together golf enthusiasts and industry professionals for a day of fun, competition, and generosity. Held at the picturesque Charter Oak Country Club, the event saw over 130 participants teeing off to support an industry scholarship and a special charity. A special thank you to all of this year's sponsors. Without your support, this event would not be possible!
Highlights of the Day:
Start: The tournament kicked off bright and early with a shotgun start at 10 AM. Participants were greeted with perfect golfing weather.
Friendly Competition: Teams of four competed in a scramble format, ensuring that golfers of all skill levels could contribute to their team’s success. The course was buzzing with excitement as players navigated challenging holes and celebrated impressive shots.
On-Course Activities: In addition to the main competition, there were several on-course activities, including longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests. These mini-competitions added an extra layer of excitement and gave participants more chances to win prizes.
Vendor Tables: At registration and during cocktail hour, multiple golf sponsors had product and info tables set up to meet with various golfers. This was first for the event, but it was a big hit for all who attended.
Awards Ceremony: The day concluded with an awards ceremony where the top teams and contest winners were recognized. Prizes were handed out, and there were plenty of smiles and cheers as participants celebrated their achievements.
Charitable Contribution: A representative from Our Daily bread took some time to talk about the organization and a check was donated to them with the proceeds from the tournament. A check was also donated to our scholarship winners.
Impact and Gratitude:
Thanks to the generosity of the participants, sponsors, and volunteers, the tournament was an overwhelming success. The event not only highlighted the industry's love for golf but also their commitment to making a positive difference.
